What Is Delivery Management Profile?
Delivery Management Profile is an attribute of the Organizational Profile. It holds information about the company where you work.
You can set the profile level by using the Delivery Profile editor. When you create a delivery profile, you will have to provide the following information:
- Company name
- Company address
- Phone number
- Company fax number
Contact person’s name and phone number in the company. So this is an optional field. If you do not provide any contact person in the company.
Then, the system will use your personal contact information for this field.
Delivery Profile Attributes:
Many attributes are included in a delivery management profile. The following attributes are assigned to this profile.
So the attributes for this profile are defined on a per-country basis. It means that you should be aware of which delivery management profile to choose if your delivery location is different from your billing location.
If your billing location is in Germany and your delivery location is in London. Then, you should choose Delivery Profile in Germany and Sales Organization – the United Kingdom.
In this way, it will be easier for you to manage the delivery management profiles. Also, it will help you keep track of all deliveries.
So this includes both the sales orders and distributions. That takes place within your organization or with customers outside of your organization.
Delivery Profile Is A Default
Default values are always taken into consideration when there is no specific value available for a certain setting or attribute. For example, if there is no delivery profile assigned to a company location.
Then, on creating a new sales order, default values are used for some settings like date format and currency symbol, etc. So all you have to do is to change the values of the settings as per your requirements.
For example, if you want to use the “YYYY-MM-dd” format of the delivery date on creating new sales orders. Then, set the same value in the “date format” field of the profile.

How To Create A New Profile?
To create a new delivery profile, navigate to Settings to Sales & Distribution. Then go to Configuration to Profile.
In the right panel, click on “New” and fill in the required information about your profile. Please note that you need to provide information about only one country for a specific profile.
If you are working in multiple countries, then you should create separate profiles for each country. After filling up all the required information, click on “Save” and it will save your settings at last.
